Hammond – Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa in partnership with the Ponchatoula Jaycees, Target, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, the St. Helena Parish Sheriff’s Office, SNAP Fitness, Truestar Health, Perfectly Fit Sports, the Hammond Running Club, North Oaks Health System, Lamar Advertising, Piggly Wiggly, Tangipahoa – reshaping Attitudes for Community Change (TRACC), the Town of Independence, Fire House Silk-screening, Smitty’s Supply, and Northshore Links is proud to announce the 4th Annual Tangi & St. Helena Night Out Against Crime on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 in Downtown Independence, Louisiana.

The event will be free to the public. October is also National Crime Prevention Month. We wanted to have a day where all of our Tangipahoa and St. Helena Parish residents could come out and see all of the public safety, crime prevention, and crime awareness resources that their parishes have to offer. We will have various live demonstrations from local law enforcement such as the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office K-9s and their Mounted Division. There will also be many vehicles, fire trucks, and safety equipment on display. In addition there will also be many other public safety groups and organizations represented. This will be the fourth year of this very successful event and our hope is that the parish-wide community will be out in full force to do their part to take a step toward preventing crime in Tangipahoa and St. Helena Parishes. ” states Jodie Powell-Rohner, CEO/Executive Director of Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa.
