Self Defense Class for Women

Women and teens have to be more aware than ever. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, 1 out of every 4 women will be attacked or raped in her lifetime.   90% of women assaulted knew their assailant. The Women’s Self Defense Institute analyzed 3,000 assaults and found that 50% of the attackers fled from a woman who resisted.   DiBenedetto’s Karate and Crime Stoppers hosts Self Defense Class for Women 12 years and up so all women will be prepared for any attack.  Instructor is Sensei Frank DiBenedetto has been an Isshinryu Karate Black Belt for over 20 years. He also holds black belts in Japanese jujitsu, judo and Escrima.  Classes are free and are held at Ponchatoula Recreation Park Gym at 19030 Ponchatoula Parks Drive.  Call Crime Stoppers Office for schedule and more information, 985.662.5557.
